History

The present Stones Chapel was built in 1902 to expand to 500 the seating accommodation of the chapel built a century previously. Modifications since 1995 have reduced the capacity to 300 but have enhanced facilities.

The "Lecture Room" underneath is used for the Sunday School and for the Hilltops Play Centre during the week and other Church and Community activities.

Stones has a magnificent view from the rear across the Ryburn Valley. One stone in the graveyard boasts a mention in the Guinness Book of Records.
