The Calderdale Hike

Information for Competitors


We have two routes of differing lengths, for both walkers and runners. Please see the Route Page for details of the current hikes.

The routes start and finish at Sowerby Cricket Club, SE043232 ("South Pennines" Map). This is the Hike HQ.

As some of the terrain is harsh, the organizing committee recommend that navigation skills are required, especially if the weather is inclement.

Kit Check:

The cost of entry is £10.00 per person or £35.00 per team of four (a saving of £5) and includes:
1. Refreshments at roadside Check Points.
2. Transport from any roadside retirement point to Hike HQ.
3. Limited Shower Facilities (some hot, mainly cold!!!!)
4. Hot meal on completion of hike.
5. Certificate of achievement for those who finish.
6. Full results sheet.
